relationships and other ramblings ..
ended up browsing through sg news and stuff on channel news asia, asiaone and stomp ..
found afew articles on relationships which are just so touching ..
as quoted from till death do us part - published on Mon, Feb 16, 2009 The Straits Times
"One year on, Mr Tham still misses his wife.
'It can get very lonely. I think of her all the time,' he says."
i just read this story and i was tearing away .. it's quite sad to have the one u love departing before u .. but death is a lifecycle i guess .. and i believe we'll all meet in Heaven one day.
but i'm not really sure of my own .. let's just say we have really different views and our characters are absolutely opposites. i can't imagine myself saying to him "see u in hell" on the deathbed when i know that i want to go Heaven to be with everyone else i love. i would rather say "If you get there before I do, don't give up on me. I'll meet you when my chores are through, I don't know how long I'll be. But I'm not gonna let you down, Darling wait and see. And between now and then. Til I see you again, I'll be loving you. Love, Me."
just thinking abt this whole thing makes me feel like growing old alone myself. then i won't have to go through this whole loved and loss thing but it's pretty lonesome when u're old. i rmb this joke i heard from somewhere which went like this: a reporter asked a lady who just turned 104 "what's the good thing about being so old?" and she replied "no peer pressure" .. it's true to certain extent .. but still .. u're alone. sighs ..
anyway another article i saw is also quite sad .. imagine being together for 8 years and separating just before vday. that was what happened to the 2 celebs which is quite a pity ..
as quoted from last words - published on Stomp Star Blog by Jamie Yeo "Relationships are a funny thing. You spend a good part of your life sharing it intimately with someone, exposing your vulnerabilities and flaws and accumulating photos and trinkets. You eat, drink and sleep with him, and your insurance policies even name him as a beneficiary. He/she is everything to you. But when it ends, it stops existing almost immediately, cruelly refusing to take into account the memories and times spent together. Photos and home-made videos are packed up into boxes and banished to the back of the wardrobe. Gifts you received from each other lay stored in the safe. And even if you're still friends, that friendship has to be worked on because occasionally, hurt and pain creep into its fabric and tug at it ever so slightly. There is never a happy ending to a relationship, although the love that you had for each other now manifests itself simply and brotherly and will always and forever exist."
