for the first time ...
it had been a day filled with emotions ..
my first few calls were keeping me busy .. i unintentionally abandoned a call cuz i was on the line that i transfered over and forgot to put not ready =X .. but thank goodness agt called back and he was super nice .. i took quite long to settle his case and had to ask angie for help too cuz it was whizz ..
calls just kept coming in one after another .. just as i set to "ready" the phone rings! ..
but this morning calls were all pretty ok .. repeated caller cuz had some prob with it .. then i ran arnd answering phones cuz they were all onsite ..
honestly i didnt expect myself to breakdown this morning .. cuz it started off pretty well ..
but it was not till my 4th or 5th call which was an angry agt scolding over the phone .. it was quite hurting listening to her shout and say those things .. oh wells but it's over .. all i could do was call my senior and took the case on hand with critical issue and settle it asap. after the call i just felt tears flowing down and i kept "consoling" myself .. so after calming down i went about doing what i had to do ..
in the end .. after settling all those problems from the calls i got .. i had no time for what i initially had to do .. and ended doing them after lunch till 2.30 .. had ARC meeting to discuss upcoming events .. it ended at 3.30 .. continued to do my stuff and *poof* blackout!! .. the whole temasek twrs was pitch dark with emergency lights shining and only the data centre had lights cuz of backup pwr supply ..
my dept had pwr supply from the backup too .. so the helpdesk pple came over to use our phones to clear their calls which was coming in .. and it resulted in 12 abandoned calls for our dept =X .. anyway the blackout took 10-15 mins to revive .. and in the end my dept was the last to have pwr cuz it got cut off halfway while logging into the system .. apparently our calls are controlled by the computer .. so w/out the computer .. no calls would come in ..
at 5.30 everyone was chased out to attend the staff function .. it was GM's last day and new GM's first day .. so went thru the speeches, nov bday celebration and dinner .. then phototaking, prize giving and karoke .. super hilarious (: .. i think my co. is rather fun! so sad GM's leaving .. he's young and as according to farah - hot! .. haha .. i think he's a 101% gentleman .. always smiling when he sees us .. although man of little words, but his actions speak very very loud!
