cny 2oo7..

the lost of a loved one made cny this year was very different from last year ..
no one was in the mood to celebrate ..
it was more like a small gathering within our families but still .. not all came ..
disappointing? yes.
mum's 8 other siblings are so calculative .. i've really got nothing to say ..
oh wells .. enough abt those stuff .. cny updates !!

17th feb : saturday
reunion dinner ..

happy 18th esther !!

met up with candice to do some last minute shopping at bugis .. alethea came with me .. cand bought most of her stuff .. and i bought alot of accessories + a top + a pair of heels .. left the place at 4.30 and headed to expo ..

my family met us at tanah merah cuz they were waiting for the train to transit to expo .. walked over to the restaurant at the other end .. when we got there .. we realised that we were the earliest !! .. my 3rd uncle's family(dad's side) & grandma haven't reach yet .. it was ironic cuz they said that dinner would commence at 5.15 sharp but in the end we didn't start till close to 5.45 cuz my cousin had to go back to change his shirt cuz he said it was too tight ..

dinner was ok .. but i was kinda full by the time i reached the 4th dish which was prawns i think .. didn't really touch the food after that .. we left arnd 7.30 .. headed over to 2nd uncle's place(mum's side) .. they had 2nd round of steamboat .. but again i didn't eat .. instead i lazed on their sofa watching tv .. headed home at 11 .. was watching countdown on tv seeing firecrackers pop .. but i saw fireworks from my parents' window (: .. went to sleep close to 1 ..

18th feb : sunday
cny day ONE.

my dad woke me up at 6.30 .. had 1 hr plus to prepare .. so showered .. makeup .. yada yada .. in the end .. i took the longest to prepare causing everyone to wait for me .. dad was kinda angry with me but didn't scold me (: .. hahaha .. my sis had to rub it in by saying that if we got no seats at church .. it's my fault .. cuz it's a combined service ..

we reached at 9.45 .. then found seats .. summore it's one empty row .. i was "saved" from their blames in that sense .. haha .. after that went up to 3rd floor .. met jacob there and we took pics .. headed out of church to my uncle's place (dad's side) to go bai nian cuz grandma's there .. met jacob's family at the road .. it was so hilarious cuz my dad gave jacob 2 red packets when we met him (for his bro too) .. then my mum met them and gave them again .. so they got double share .. hahaha .. they were so blur laa ..

when we reached my 3rd uncle's place arnd 11plus .. 2nd aunt & cousin's family were there already .. gave oranges to my grandma & 2nd aunt .. then just sat there munching on snacks .. talking to cousins .. had lunch (: .. my grandma brought over a can of abalone from my place to add into the soup for me .. wahhaah . in the end i got sick of the abalone ..

went to the swimming pool and took pictures .. cousin's family went too .. took quite alot .. at arnd 1 .. we left the place .. headed to late grandma's place .. it was so quiet .. unlike the previous years .. usually when we go there .. the whole place would be decorated like "lil china town" .. now it's all empty & bare .. my cousin was out too .. so i slacked on the sofa with my sis watching tv ..

uncle's family came .. we stayed there for awhile till cousin came back .. then left together to first uncle's place for dinner .. my 2nd uncle's family were there already .. started dinner at 5plus .. watched tv till 8 then we left .. it was kinda pathetic cuz every year my 4th aunt, 5th aunt & 6th aunt would come with their families .. then we would gossip, gamble and joke arnd .. but this year .. i didn't see my 5th or 6th aunt at all .. it's just so quiet ..

19th feb : monday
day TWO.

got up at 12 .. no one cared .. all of us just slack at home till dinner time .. went over to 2nd uncle's place to eat .. food tasted blend .. only the sweet and sour fish with pineapples was nice .. watched tv till 11 before leaving ..

that was how my day ended ..

20th feb : tuesday
day THREE.

dora was coming over to bai nian before we went out .. so i got up rather early .. but somehow she only gave me 15-20 mins notice before she appeared in front of my door with lance .. took a quick shower and prepared real fast .. mum was "entertaining" them for me .. haha .. after that we left for town .. lance had to go home cuz got guests at his place ..

we headed to cathay to see if we could get tix for any shows .. met jacob there with his cousins .. talked for awhile before we left .. then walked from ps till heeren to have lunch at sakae .. from there we went to cine and dora got her tops .. continued walking to taka where i bought 2 books from kino .. and crossed over to tangs where we were caught in some crazy sales with aunties .. and finally went to shaw's tcc .. but it was fully occupied .. so we walked to cine's tcc and again fully occupied .. lastly we walked to centrepoint's tcc and decided that if it was fully occupied .. we would just have to settle for starbucks instead ..

luckily there were empty seats !! .. had ti-rum-misu (: .. it was so filling .. by the time we were done .. it was like 4plus .. so took 65 with dora .. i alighted at boon keng while she took it all the way home .. took train back and when i got home .. my cousin was like saying my 4th aunt was behind me !! .. then i was like "HUH" .. she came up the next lift and said i walked very fast .. haha ..

had steamboat at my place .. 2nd uncle & 4th aunt's family came .. wah it was freaking filling .. they cooked curry and ordered 2 pizzas + ALOT of sweet & spicy drumlets .. so fattening laa .. my house was like some "food haven" .. haha .. 2nd uncle's family left at 9 .. cuz cousin's had school tmr .. then we made some discovery .. 4th aunt was kinda fuming mad at my cousin .. she called her to come over to my place immediately ..

anyway mum had a long talk with her .. i guess she was mixing with the wrong company but luckily we found out early .. they left arnd 11plus .. then cleared up ..

21st feb : wednesday
day FOUR.

my sisters had school .. parents were still on leave .. mum went to the saloon .. while dad had to go back to work for some short meeting .. settled with wx & alvin to watch a movie - just follow law .. and went to book tix online .. dad loaned me his visa to do the booking .. and he suggested that they (my parents) come too .. cuz they wanna watch and it's been some time since they went to the cinema .. so i also booked for them + my lil sis ..

slacked at home till 5 when i started to prepare .. had dinner and waited for dad to be home .. we left at 6.30 .. reaching dhoby at 7 .. went to collect tix .. met wx & alvin .. intro-ed them to my parents .. haha .. dad treated them the movie laa .. super nice right ! .. heehee .. bought popcorn & drinks and went in .. the show was like 2 hrs long .. it was very hilarious ..

the guys left after the show .. didn't realise that i dropped my hp pouch in the theatre at all .. only realised it when i got to dhoby .. in the end my dad accompanied me back to cathay while mum brought lil sis back cuz she got school the next day .. went into the cinema to check but got pple seating on the seat .. so couldn't check .. just sat outside for 2 hrs reading my book till the show ended before the staff helped me to check again ..

was so relieved when they manage to find my pouch (: .. caught the last train back .. the good thing that happened was that my dad didn't scold me at all.. although he just nagged abit about me being so careless .. hahaha ..
