baoc - part 1
it has been so long since i've made a real update !! .. abt 1 wk already =X .. zzz .. oh wells .. trying to catch up with my pace of life .. cuz i've been going out going out and going out the past few days .. thus not really much time spent at home .. oh how i miss those times when i can stay home, rott my ass and blog away =X .. sighhs .. anyway i have to get ready for school soon .. i guess will slowly update .. then come back after 2 hrs of lect to update more !! .. it will be a LONG entry .. so sit back & read-lax .. :) ..
tuesday : 18th apr - day 1
ahhs. i met up with vy & harjeet in the morning and we got to sch arnd 10+ .. got to WWR booth and collected shirts & IDs for my attached SCs + jackson .. then changed into the yellow rodeo shirt .. then was hanging arnd .. went to join emy's grp for awhile and after they left i went up to booth again .. waited for the 1st batch of freshies from acc to come .. then at 11.45 when a freshie called to say she reached i went down ..
found my group of attached SCs eating .. then manage to get afew freshies there .. first one i remember was eunice .. brought rachel, yishi, peilin, joshua & joseph up to change into the rodeo shirt + leave their stuff at booth leaving jere with freshies .. then not long later more and more came :) ..
at arnd 12.20 everyone was arnd except louisa & john .. couldn't contact both of them .. but louisa came in the end .. john only msged me later in the night that he was sick and couldn't make it .. we introduced ourselves for 3 times i think .. 1st time for those arnd .. 2nd time for jackson .. 3rd time for louisa .. haha .. then ar 12.45 headed to convention centre for registration .. the freshies helped one another with their tags then brought them in to sit with the help of my attached SCs .. had to help a girl who doesn't have a grp .. brought her to MC and they gave her a grp .. i joined my group after that for the long long talk ..
we went to LT62 for a talk by the i/c of BIT and had to walk the long rain as it was raining heavily .. it was so boringg !! .. my attached SCs ended up sitting down in the end .. haha .. then we went to exam hall .. walked the long way too .. =X .. when we finally reached everyone was arnd !! .. we had very lil space and had to squeeze .. played whacko and it was rather unexpected cuz i thought they knew how to play !! .. seeing their blur faces so funny .. haha ..
then suddenly when it was sinyee's turn .. she kana forfeit thanks to jackson .. she had to do the igallop ad with another gal from another grp + jackson + ashley .. haha .. anyway after that did cheering and picked afew to be in performance .. in the end only yuguang stayed for performance .. haha .. cheyenne followed us up by accident .. brought her to the lift cuz she was lost .. haha ..
we had 20+++ pple who were chosen .. then eliminated some before christine took half of them to the lvl 3 carpark to teach them how to dance ghost train .. i had to teach the other half together with emy .. they got it rather fast :) .. i thought them alil of summer breeze after that then by 6.30 i dismissed my side .. christine's side were learning ain't it funny & ghost train ..
me & emy went to exam hall to help clear up .. then had short debrief before waiting for vy & harjeet to be done .. swimming & aik ping were with them .. we headed to PS hang ten to get maroon shirts + my 3 yellow shirts .. then rushed down to hg mall to get more maroon shirts .. by then it was already 9+ .. after getting the shirts .. we had dinner at macs .. i was so hungry !! ... only had a colourful donut for breakfast and didn't have lunch ..
wanted to go order our food but in the end the staff came and take our orders instead .. we were very relieved .. ahha ended up playing "zhong ji mi ma" with the fries we had .. then by the time we were done eating .. it was 10.30 !! .. vy & harjeet took train while i walked with aik ping to the bus interchange to take 72 .. then i went home .. slept at 12 instead of 11.30 ...
wednesday : 19th apr - day 2
got up at 5.15 .. left house at 6.15 .. reached school at arnd 7.15 .. when i was on the bridge .. jackson called and tell me i was late cuz they rest had reached there .. and he said he could even tell what i was wearing =X .. blahhx .. i saw him at the bottom of the bridge after that !! .. so mean right !!! .. then we "raced" to the canteen .. haha ... he claimed that i was late cuz i was afew secs later than him to reach the table .. in the end the latest was yishi or joseph .. haha ..
freshies joined us and we went to the sports gallery at 8.15 .. again louisa & john wasn't arnd .. suriani came late and peilin + yishi were waiting for late comers in the canteen .. they joined us very soon .. was taking attendence while collecting their personal belongings in a plastic bag which jackson told joseph to bring .. and jackson collected their bags to tie up with raffia .. waited for our grp to be called before he + joseph carried the bags to the grandstand ..
at arnd 9 .. games started .. we were one of the last grps to leave the place cuz jackson was "briefing" them on what to cheer .. then we made our way to blk 45 for our 1st station - minesweeper we cheered for R4 while they played .. then it was our turn .. regina was the first to try it out .. waaha .. we had afew wrong tries before finally they did it :)) .. then arnd 10+ we went to convention centre .. i was waiting with performers + jingyi for christine to come while corrine brought afew up first ..
went up to 04-01 .. then refreshed dance steps .. had many many breaks btw and at 12.30 brought them down to join their grps for lunch .. met up with my grp at canteen 1 .. thought they providing food .. but in the end they didn't .. so freshies had to queue .. SCs wanted to go SIM da bao food .. but in the end we stayed and ate at can 1 instead .. went to take the clue for 2nd station - food connectors .. helped the freshies and they did it while we were eating .. then after lunch .. we submitted our stuff and they were made to eat a slice of apple each before cheering & given the 3rd clue ..
went to lvl 3 .. i can't rmb the name of the game .. the freshies had to be in grps of 3 .. 1 was blindfolded and 1 was navigating the way in the dark .. the other i think supporting the blindfolded one .. our grp did it rather well :) .. heard one of the freshies said the blindfolded guy actually asked "can u hold me ?!" .. hahaha .. it was so funny we laughed outside .. went to our 4th station at atrium .. we cheered like mad and the station master couldn't take it .. haha ..
there the freshies were mixed with MJ + they were blindfolded .. they were suppose to gather as a grp and once everyone was there form a circle + sit down ..
regina was doing the indian sound for everyone to know where is she before she literally did a head count and we manage to finish :) .. given the 5th clue at blk 56 .. they had to hold onto strings attached on a marker and drawing a picture of "time" without touching the marker .. it was perfect !! .. took pics there and went to our last station outside lect 22 .. they were doing sth like twister and we did it very fast !! .. headed to sports gallery and met vy's grp .. R5 actually found a place to settle down .. however there was drilling going on over their heads and the dust from the walls fell on them like showers of blessing .. thus we moved over to sit beside FM .. then took pics !! ..
gathered on the field and we were cheering like mad !! .. then dismissed everyone before gathering the performers to convention centre .. we requested to be the 1st to rehearse so the girls could leave earlier but as the lecturers were rehearsing before us .. summer breeze performers were practicing in the centre itself .. then at arnd 6.15 bcux they had to leave i let all of them off .. they gave me a big hug before leaving .. left only 3 guys =X .. keon, yu guang & selwyn ..
we were the 1st grp to go up .. someone decided to act smart and told MC that the gallopers would come out from LEFT first then RIGHT. but in fact it was the RIGHT first then LEFT. so when she finally realised the mistake and wanted to correct it .. the MC was pissed and cancelled the whole part .. then we had to make do with whatever we had .. me, emy, corrine, jingyi & christine took the places of those who weren't arnd .. then rehearsed twice before going out to think of solutions for transition .. i was very pissed by then and emy, corrine + jingyi was trying to calm me down ..
finally came up with the transition together with emy and gave the grp a 10 mins break while we finalised .. instead of going for break they went in and complained to mel that they wanted to go off .. so when they came back .. we quickly taught them the steps to transit and practiced for awhile before dismissing them .. by then it was arnd 8 .. then we were discussing abt the "attire" ..
decided on yellow rodeo shirt + jeans + sneakers/sport shoes .. we had yellow party hats .. so in order not to make the performers look like dancing bananas on stage .. we ended up rushing down to IMM to buy brown spray paint .. squeezed 5 pple in a cab bcuz some extra followed us .. she was using the "flirting" tone to the taxi driver .. emy & jingyi went to buy the paint while the rest of us waited in the cab for them cuz we were afraid that we couldn't get another cab ..
rushed back to school and sprayed all the hats brown .. mel cried. sighhs .. i think it's our fault .. *sorry mel !!* .. left school at arnd 10+ .. met up with vy and we cabbed back with her freshies to compass pt .. met up with derrick there .. then i was ranting to her abt alot of stuff till 11 before i took train back .. made lil souveniers for freshies and slept at 1.30 ..
